Welcome to the Children Museum's staff fundraising page for Igniting Potential!
We are participating in this 24-hour giving challenge to raise critical funds to expand much needed scholarships for the kids in our community!
Today, we celebrate the generosity of an incredible community who will come together and participate in this giving day.
Thank you for supporting the Children's Museum at La Habra
Play Matters!
Before a child ever steps into a classroom, they're already learning. Through play in every gallery, we create opportunities to
support a child's cognitive, social, emotional, and sensory development. It's the perfect time to encourage curiosity, spark creativity, and inspire a lifelong love of learning.
Through interactive exhibits and activities facilitated by our trained professional staff, children learn foundational math, reading and science skills while fostering curiosity, creativity, critical thinking, problem-solving, and teamwork. They discover how academic concepts have real-life application by learning in our unique, hands-on environment.
There's something for every curious mind to discover. Kids love exploring favorites like Nature Walk, the Train Station Caboose, STEAM Lab, Kids on Stage, Centennial Farm, Science Station, and the magical Carousel Room. Families can create together in the Family Art Center, climb aboard a real 1942 caboose, take a ride on our historic Dentzel Carousel, or spend time exploring the dinosaur gardens and outdoor play spaces.
Play For All Children!
Each year, we welcome more than 90,000 visitors, including many children and families from under-resourced communities and Title I schools. We know that access to high-quality early learning experiences can have a lasting impact, helping children build the skills and confidence they need to succeed in school and beyond.
Unfortunately, barriers such as transportation, financial hardship, and disability can make it difficult for many families to access these important opportunities. That's why we're committed to providing hands-on learning opportunities through our Scholarship Tours and Museums for All programs.
