Once again, it is time for the annual Igniting Potential Giving Day and I would like to invite you to join our campaign and help us to reach our goal of $60,000 as we focus on youth and celebrate the decades of Helping Others by Turing Despair into HOPE!
H.O.P.E. is raising funds to support our One-Stop Safety Net Program and our Sounds of Hope Music Program. Our One-Stop Safety Net provides food security and basic needs assistance to children and their families. Although unknown to many, food insecurity among children is a growing concern in Orange County. To meet this need, in 2025, we served 10,014 people, including 3,288 children. Many of them would have gone to bed hungry without H.O.P.E. We distributed nearly 900,000 pounds of food, equal to about 500,000 meals. Those are meals that would have been missed, resulting in hunger, if not for H.O.P.E.
As you may or may not know, the H.O.P.E. organization has grown from its humble beginnings 29 years ago (1997), starting from the trunk of the founder's car (Gayle Knight) into a comprehensive safety net of support services. This fundraiser is only for one day - Wednesday, September 16th, 2026. I personally invite you to join me in supporting the work of H.O.P.E. as it supports those individuals/families that are in need in the community. Just know that every donation is important, regardless of the amount and that it is tax deductible.

for low-income and at-risk kids in
Orange County by supporting
our goal to raise $60,000
For nearly 30, H.O.P.E. has worked tirelessly to end the often multi-generational cycle of poverty, food insecurity, and the lack of educational and employment opportunities. Every day, thousands of children in Orange County face food insecurity and lack of opportunities. New moms struggle to provide diapers and other baby essentials. H.O.P.E. works tirelessly to meet this need. In 2025, we helped more than 3,000 children and their families become food secure and take steps toward both short and long term health and achievement. Through our One-Stop Safety Net, we provide emergency food security to children and their families who are often struggling with the decision of whether to pay rent or buy food. Once families are food secure, we give low-income and at-risk children the opportunity to do better. Through Sounds of Hope music mentorship and free music lessons, we provide these young people with access to opportunities and achievements many never could have imagined were within their reach.
