Assistance League Of Newport Mesa

The ALNM Board

Some words from Elizabeth

We are raising funds to support our mission to help children in Newport Beach and Costa Mesa. We want to provide a safety net for for every child in our community who can't afford clothes to wear to school, who doesn't have enough to eat, who doesn't have transportation to get to school, who doesn't have the equipment needed for a school trip or project, who can't afford dental care, and who can't afford to go to college.

Assistance League Of Newport Mesa Story

Celebrating Over 80 Years of Service in Newport-Mesa

Assistance League of Newport-Mesa began in 1940 in Newport Beach with a small group of women wanting to make a difference in the lives of children.  Our four philanthropic programs are completely self-funded through grants, endowments, fundraising events and proceeds from our on-site shops.

The Newport-Mesa Chapter of dedicated member volunteers gives over 12,000 hours of service each year to operate our programs.  Our programs helped 2,500 children in the Costa Mesa and Newport Beach communities in just the last year.

The philanthropic programs of Assistance League of Newport-Mesa, the Cheri Harris Dental Center, Operation School BellĀ®, The Kids on the Block, and Scholarship Program are staffed by member volunteers and funded through proceeds from our Thrift Shop, Treasures on Consignment, fundraising events, grants, endowments and private donations.
