OUR STORY

Help us walk alongside new and expectant mothers and their babies!

Every dollar ignites potential. This year, your support will provide a strong foundation for 500 families leading to healthier mothers, babies and families. Help us provide a village of support to 500 mothers and their babies through MOMS high-quality group programming. Every dollar makes a difference.

About MOMS. MOMS provides vital maternal-child health education and support services to low-income, vulnerable pregnant women and their families each year, helping them to achieve a healthy pregnancy and deliver a healthy baby. Services begin in pregnancy and continue through the baby’s first 18 months.

Over the course of three decades, all of MOMS' programs and services have been informed by a simple mission: to help vulnerable, low-income mothers and their families have healthy babies by providing enhanced case management, health coordination, education, and access to community services and supports.

Each year, MOMS supports over 1,600 perinatal women and their babies, plus others children and family members each year through one-on-one education, risk-screening, case management and support through our Home Visitation program and group Health Education classes. Services are delivered by a team of bilingual Maternal-Child Health Workers, RN Case Managers and Health Educators including Lactation Specialists. Services are provided at no cost to the participant.

MOMS is a preventative model with a unique opportunity to reach pregnant and parenting mothers early and address infant health and developmental concerns early, ultimately influencing healthier birth and maternal health outcomes that can have long-term impact.

Program also participants benefit from tangible supports including diapers, new car seats, postpartum kits, infant clothing and other donations provided by the community, and via referral to community resources for specific non-medical needs including for housing, food and other basic needs.
